The View from Cliona’s bedroom, Imagine she is giving this up all for the love of Paul…WOW.

The Look of Realisaition

The Look Of Loss

The Look of Love

The Look of Happiness

What a day we had with this beautiful couple…the sun was shining, a rarity this year…pretty much everything about the day was different than a normal wedding, and on top of that the couple were up for some fun.
Cliona & Paul said to me a week or so prior to the wedding that they loved the style of my photography and that I had creative freedom on their day and that they would go with any ideas that I had or any opportunities that presented themselves on the day…..ahh bliss…this is the way I love to work and I find that this blends very well to the style of our photography…no menu…no agenda…no idea what we will encounter…and out of this always comes a collection of images that are new, fresh, exciting and most of all FUN. I think Catherine and I captured this on the day…and when you have a couple as good looking and fun to shoot as Cliona & Paul , the only thing else we could have hoped for is a beautiful day…and what did we get …yep…a scorcher…in fact by 6 o clock we were all feeling a little sun burned.
Some of the images that I loved from the day are the images that say a lot, especially the images “with the look” . By this I mean, if you look into the eyes you see emotion, sometimes emotion of sadness, sometimes of love and often of happiness. I have picked out a few above that I feel, to me, tell a big story of the emotion that was going on in the day.
A bit about the yellow van that is in some of the pictures- This is the camper van that Paul did up and that he and Cliona have toured part of Europe in, but on the wedding day we decided to go down where it was parked up and do some shots by it. Paul the romantic that he is, had it kitted out with flowers and champagne and even had tubs of Häagen-Dazs ice cream for the girls. We had a blast on the shore doing some photographs and just chilling out and the truth be told I think none of us wanted to leave, but alas the boat was waiting to bring them to Glandore.
To all the staff at The Rectory in Glandore, thank you for your courtesy and welcome, it was our first time there but i am sure it won’t be out last.
